Supply Drive for Harvest House and Guam Homeless Coalition Extended to Sept. 24

Donations can be dropped off at any Community First location


(Sept. 9, 2022, Hagåtña, Guam) – Community First announced today that it will be extending its supply drive for Harvest House and the Guam Homeless Coalition to Sept. 24. Community First thanks its members and friends in the community who have already donated generously to the effort. Community First is extending the drive, which was to end on Sept. 10, another two weeks to be able to receive more items that the organizations have requested



Gerard Cruz, President and CEO of Community First, said, “Our service center teams are motivated to collect even more items that will help supply the needs of Harvest House and the Guam Homeless Coalition. They’ve been receiving donations these past few weeks and want this drive to be super successful for both organizations. We invite our entire community to give what you can to benefit our island’s foster children and brothers and sisters in need.”

Harvest House is a local nonprofit that aims to help the children and teens of the island by providing them with a safe space to live and grow. The Guam Homeless Coalition is a group that addresses the needs of Guam’s homeless population. The organizations requested the following items:

  • Diapers of all sizes and pull-up diapers

  • Baby wipes

  • Body soap

  • Shampoo

  • Laundry detergent

  • Feminine hygiene products

  • Toothpaste (children’s and adult) and toothbrushes

  • Combs and hairbrushes

  • First aid kits

  • Baby formula

  • Dry food goods that are easy to open and cook (i.e. pop-top canned goods, ramen, cereal, etc.)

  • New underwear of all sizes

  • New socks of all sizes


Donations can be dropped off at any Community First Member Service Center during business hours – Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Dededo and Tamuning only).
